Merrel H. Medley, a long-time engineer for the city, was a driving force behind major projects such as the Myriad Gardens and Crystal Bridge in downtown OKC. This park was named in his honor in 1985. The park provides walking and jogging paths, picnic facilities, a large children's play area, and several large playing fields suitable for soccer and softball. The Greenbriar YMCA is just east of the park.
