Agatha moved to Winterbrook, between Wallingford and Cholsey in 1934 - the year that 'Murder on the Orient Express' was published. This story has been retold numerous times and is perhaps her most famous novel. Agatha Christie became the most successful novelist of all time. She lived in Winterbrook House for 42 years, shopped regularly in Wallingford, and worshipped in Cholsey Church where she now lies buried with her husband in the Churchyard.
