The Galician Tourism Agency has already awarded the council a grant to carry them out

The environmental group Adega has just sent a letter to the Celanova Council stating the need to undertake refurbishment works around the Roman bridge of Ponte Freixo. In the letter, signed by Gonzalo Blanco, they urge the execution of "a small work of maintenance on a ponte to clean it up and put it in condition to avoid unwanted situations or accidents."

Adega would have made the determination to go to the City Council before the existence of "queixas veciñais" before an "environmental problem that affects or patrimony" Celanovés. The architectural complex, declared a Historic-Artistic Monument in 1984, is "somewhat neglected" according to the neighbors, presenting a wooden railing "fallen in parts and with numerous scrub that ugly and can cause damage to the structure."
