An unusual feature for a museum, the labyrinth is a walking meditation opportunity with a single winding path from the edge to the center: no tricks - just a single path, no dead ends. Labyrinths date back at least 3500 years. They combine older symbols - including the circle, spiral and meander (indirect course). Labyrinths represent the journey inward to our true selves and back out into the everyday world. When you reach the center, ring the bell.
The labyrinth consists of a packed earthen trail with rocks outlining the path. The setting offers views of the desert and the Superstition Mountains, as well as many display areas on the grounds. There are nearby trees, and birds to 'chirp' you on as you progress in your journey. Enjoy!
