The Cloverdale Mine was a gold mine it also mine silver and lead.
The Tunnel is approximately 2800 ft long with drifts branching off. "A flotation mill was built over several summers but burned down after the first days test run. It milled 30 tons of ore that day."
The land the mine is one is owned by the National Forest Service. "The mine is owned by Oakwood Mining Company & Stamina Mining & Milling Corperation."

Mine workings of this mine are underground.
There are several buildings around the site. Colorado's harsh winters have taken a toll on these buildings, so be very careful when you are around them. even in the summer months it can get very windy at the high altitude. also the tunnel is not blocked andis open. I do NOT suggest entering the tunnel. Any kind a vibration could cause a rock slide and block the tunnel.
