Or Arco dos Tempos, or Arco dos Oestrimnios presides from this Thursday the roundabout that connects the old national streets of Vigo and Madrid with the Puente del Mileno. It is a work that the artist Toño Monteiro brings to the capital of Ourense and that was inaugurated this Thursday
"Eat a tribute to this ancestral race, ao meu master Quessada and for all humanity, I place this xeographic point at the heart of the Miño river in the city of Ourense, a work that I call O Arco dos Tempos, or Arco dos Oestrimnios ". This is how Toño Monteiro explains the sculptural contribution of this artist to the capital of Ourense, which was inaugurated this Thursday and is located in the roundabout that accesses the Millennium Bridge from the old national roads of Vigo and Madrid.
The mayor of the city came at noon this Thursday to visit the artist's work in full final touches of the installation of the work, and thanked the artist Toño Monteiro for his contribution to the city.
Monteiro explained that his work is a tribute to the aboriginal tribes of a proto-Celtic population that preceded us, while the model of a kind of "useful that no future vindeiro could transport us through da súa luz, das su cores, da súa energy ”.
