Along Road 22 at the junction of Okanagan Hwy./97 Hwy. this portion of Osoyoos Oxbows continues the KVR Trail and the walkway provides passage over this sensitive habitat.

This portion of the Osoyoos Oxbows, managed by Nature Conservancy of Canada, protects this mosaic of habitat types to benefit biodiversity including wetlands, riparian shrub habitats, deciduous woodlands, wet meadows, oxbows and grasslands. Shrubs and trees were specifically chosen to match the nesting habitat of Western Screech-Owl, Yellow-breasted Chat and other Species at risk.
The boardwalk is about 500 metres in length with two lookout stations. This part of the KVR Trail that follows the Oxbows along Road 22. Just pass the one lane wooden bridge is a parking area with informational signs about the Osoyoos Oxbows.
The lookout stations provide viewing opportunities through each season. In early spring the Long-billed Curlew arrives early to nest in the short grass agricultural fields adjacent to Road 22.
