This Citizens Memorial is located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan at Chipp-A-Waters Park. The Memorial is the bridge crossing over the Chippewa River along the Gregory K. Baderschneider Riverwalk Trail. The Trail is 1.8 miles long and runs from Chipp-A-Waters Park to Pickens Field. The Bridge has a plaque attached that reads:"Brandell Bridge Dedicated June 16, 2012 to Dr. Mary Ellen Brandell. Her guidance, insight, and passion were an inspiration to many. Her desire to see the Chipp-A-Waters Park Access to Adventure Trail Project to completion was a fitting final testament to her lifelong devotion to Mt. Pleasant and CMU. This bridge stands in memory, recognition, and tribute of her contributions to the Access to Recreation Project and the City of Mt. Pleasant."
