Tidskapsel nedgravet ved Vikingskibsmuseet 1. maj 2009 markerer en venskabsaftale mellem Roskilde og Dublin ved Vikingeskibet "Havhingsten fra Glendaloughs" rejse Roskilde-Dublin tur/retur 2007 - 2008. Til lyden af kirkeklokkerne fra Christ Church Cathedral blev tidskapslen bragt om bord på Havhingsten og sejlet hjem til Roskilde. Her skal den hvile i 250 år.
Tidskapslen blev nedgravet af Roskildes Borgmester Poul Lindor Nielsen og Irlands ambassadør Joe Hayes. Genstandende i Tidskasplen repræsenterer dansk-irsk kulturhistorie.
Vikingeskibsmuseet åbnede i samme forbindelse en udstilling om dansk-irsk vikingskibshistorie.
Time capsule buried at the Viking Ship Museum 1 May 2009 marks a friendship agreement between Roskilde and Dublin on the Viking ship "The Sea Stallion from Glendaloughs" voyage Roskilde-Dublin round trip 2007 - 2008. To the sound of the church bells from Christ Church Cathedral the time capsule was brought on board the Sea Stallion and sailed home to Roskilde. Here it must rest for 250 years.
The time capsule was buried by Roskilde Mayor Poul Lindor Nielsen and Irish Ambassador Joe Hayes. Objects in time capsule represent Danish-Irish cultural history.
In the same connection, the Viking Ship Museum opened an exhibition on Danish-Irish Viking ship history.
