DE: Diese Statue stellt einen Soldaten dar. Sie steht auf einem Sockel in etwa zwei Meter Höhe in einem grünen Dreieck zwischen Comesstraße, Max-Ernst-Allee und dem Gelände der deutschen Bahn. Auf dem Sockel ist die Inschrift "Den Toten zum Gedächtnis - Den Lebenden zur Erinnerung" angebracht, sowie eine Plakette mit den Jahreszahlen der beiden Weltkriege (1914 - 1918 und 1939 - 1945). Der ausführende Künstler ist nicht bekannt, auch wann die Stadt Brühl die Statue aufgestellt hat, ließ sich nicht ermitteln. In der Denkmalliste der Stadt Brühl wird das Ehrenmal unter der Nummer 203 geführt.
EN: This statue represents a soldier. It stands on a pedestal about two meters high in a green triangle between Comesstrasse, Max-Ernst-Allee and the Deutsche Bahn site. The inscription "Den Toten zum Gedächtnis - Den Lebenden zur Erinnerung" (Remembrance of the dead - Reminder to the living) and a plaque with the dates of the two world wars (1914-1918 and 1939-1945) are attached to the base. The performing artist is not known, also when the city of Brühl erected the statue could not be determined. The memorial is listed under number 203 in the monuments list of the city of Brühl.
