[EN] Brewery Restaurant Koulu is one of the largest restaurant breweries in Finland. The annual beer production is about 90,000 liters. The school’s beers are brewed according to the German Purity Act of 1516, the Reinheitsgebot. Only water, malt, hops and yeast are allowed as ingredients.
There are three beers in continuous production: Master, Lecturer and Boris Orlo Pils. In addition to these, special and seasonal beers are also produced throughout the year. Some seasonal ciders are also available.
As a restaurant, you are able to have lunch or full a la carte menu, or perhaps some light snack food. All these has been excellent and service top notch! Because this is former school house, rooms are named after school educational rooms; like history class. Some rooms are named after people whom were important for this school.
Some of beers they are producing:
-Lecturer: Light, unfiltered lager. Hops: Saaz ja Northern brewer. Malts: Pilsner, münchner and dark caramel malt.
-Maister: Dark, unfiltered lager. Hops: Northern brewer and Hallertau tradition.
Malts: Pilsner, Münchner, dark caramel and colored malt.
-Principal Light: Unfiltered Bock. Hops: Northern Brewer and Hallertau Tradition. Malts: Pilsner and dark caramel malt.
[FIN] Panimoravintola Koulu on Suomen suurimpia ravintolapanimoita. Vuotuinen oluentuotanto on noin 90 000 litraa. Koulun oluet on valmistettu saksalaisen, vuodelta 1516 peräisin olevan puhtauslain eli Reinheitsgebotin mukaan. Valmistusaineina sallitaan ainoastaan vesi, mallas, humala ja hiiva.
Jatkuvassa tuotannossa on kolme olutta: Maisteri, Lehtori ja Boris Orlo Pils. Näiden lisäksi valmistetaan myös erikois- ja kausioluita ympäri vuoden.
