The Stripped Classical style former Commonwealth Bank building was constructed as a single storey building in 1927-28, the upper floor was added circa 1939, as a bachelor quarters for staff members. The building has a curved portico entrance on the corner and restrained Classical decoration including moulded panels below the windows, keystones and exaggerated string courses.
