Dansk: Starupstenen beliggende ved Sdr. Starup kirkegård syd for kirken. Stenen blev fundet i 1914 ved restaurering af Starup kirke, hvor den lå som kirkens oprindelige dørtrin til den sydlige indgang.

Starupstenen er dateret til tidlig vikingetid og er udført i en rødlig stribet gnejs med lodretstående sribekarakterer. Stenen er 140 cm høj, 50-81 cm bred og 20-24 cm tyk. På stenen er en 63 cm høj og 17 cm bred runeindskrft der lyder: "Eriks kuml". Det betyder Eriks dødeminde. Sat over vikingen Erik. Og der har utvivlsomt hørt en gravhøj til mindestenen.

English: The Starup stone located at Sdr. Starup cemetery south of the church. The stone was found in 1914 during the restoration of Starup church, where it was the church's original doorstep to the southern entrance.

The Starup stone is dated to early Viking times and is made of a reddish striped gneiss with vertical grinding characters. The stone is 140 cm high, 50-81 cm wide and 20-24 cm thick. On the stone is a 63 cm high and 17 cm wide runic inscription that reads: "Eriks kuml". That means Erik's death memory. Sat over the Viking Erik. And there has undoubtedly been a burial mound to the memorial stone.
