In front of the Turku Orthodox Church, Saint Alexandra's Church, there are two large church bells. They have Cyrillic text and images of apostles or holy men. The bells come from a separate bell tower in front of the church that has been dismantled.
The history of the bell tower is known: the renovation of the 1890s brought a bell tower to the west end of the church. However, the wooden belfry, designed by architect Stefan Mikhailov, was weak in its foundations and was demolished in 1929. The largest of the church bells were now on display in front of the church, and the current bells of the church are heard from inside it during services.
The bells have free access and a ramp for wheelchairs.

Turun ortodoksisen kirkon, -Pyhän Aleksandran kirkon, edessä on kaksi kookasta kirkonkelloa.
