"Earth and Beyond" is a kinetic sculpture that resembles a flower whose silver leaves move independently of each other, topped by a purple bud. It was dedicated on Saturday, April 14, 2018, as part of the city's annual ColorPalooza festival. It stands 19' tall and 10' wide, weighing nine hundred pounds, on an 8' tall Corten base decorated with four glass mosaic tiles. The twenty-five bricks surround three sides of the base, and they name those who contributed $50 to $99 to the Lakeside Arts Foundation team when funds were being raised for the sculpture. Those who contributed $100 or more are recognized on the bronze plaque off to the side of the sculpture.
