Op de muur van de vroegere Romboutskerk is een plaquette gezet ter gedachtenis aan de oorlogsslachtoffers van Andel in de Tweede Wereldoorlog. De plaquette is gemaakt van roestvrij staal en is in 2019 onthuld (Brabants Dagblad). Op de gedenkplaat staan zeventien namen met daarachter het jaar waarin ze zijn omgekomen. Niet alle slachtoffers woonden in Andel. Een aantal waren daar geëvacueerd uit dorpen als Genderen, Eethen en Dussen. Ze werden slachtoffer van een bombardement op 27 november 1944, waarbij woningen aan de Burgemeester van der Schansstraat werden getroffen. Elf personen kwamen om bij dit bombardement.
A plaque commemorating Andel's war victims in the Second World War has been placed on the wall of the former Romboutskerk. The plaque is made of stainless steel and was unveiled in 2019 (Brabants Dagblad). The commemorative plaque contains seventeen names with the year in which they died. Not all victims lived in Andel. A number of them had been evacuated there from villages such as Genderen, Eethen and Dussen. They fell victim to a bombing raid on November 27, 1944, which hit homes on Burgemeester van der Schansstraat. Eleven people died in this bombing.
