L'Hôpital Santa Cabrini est un hôpital franco-italien situé sur la rue Saint-Zotique Est dans l'arrondissement Saint-Léonard de Montréal.
L'arrondissement a l'une des plus fortes concentrations d'Italo-Canadiens de la ville.
Selon Wikipedia, "Françoise-Xavière Cabrini (Francesca Saverio Cabrini), née le 15 juillet 1850 à Sant'Angelo Lodigiano et décédée le 22 décembre 1917 à Chicago, était une religieuse catholique italo-américaine. Elle a fondé les Sœurs Missionnaires du Sacré-Cœur de Jésus, un institut religieux catholique qui était un soutien majeur pour ses compatriotes immigrants italiens aux États-Unis. Elle fut la première citoyenne américaine à être canonisée en tant que sainte par l'Église catholique romaine, le 7 juillet 1946.
Cabrini a été béatifié le 13 novembre 1938 par le pape Pie XI et canonisé le 7 juillet 1946 par le pape Pie XII. Son miracle de béatification a consisté à restaurer la vue d'un bébé d'un jour qui avait été aveuglé par une solution de nitrate d'argent à 50% au lieu de la solution normale à 1% dans les yeux de l'enfant. L'enfant, nommé Peter Smith (1921–2002), sera plus tard présent à sa béatification et deviendra prêtre. Son miracle de canonisation impliquait la guérison d'un membre de sa congrégation en phase terminale. Lorsqu'elle a été canonisée, environ 120 000 personnes ont rempli le Soldier Field de Chicago pour une messe d'action de grâce.
Dans la martyrologie romaine, sa fête est le 22 décembre, anniversaire de sa mort, jour habituellement choisi comme jour de fête d'une sainte. Suite aux réformes du Code des rubriques du Pape Jean XXIII, les États-Unis célèbrent depuis 1961 la fête de Cabrini le 13 novembre, jour de sa béatification, pour éviter d'entrer en conflit avec les plus grandes ferias de l'Avent.

She founded the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a Catholic religious institute that was a major support to her fellow Italian immigrants to the United States. She was the first U.S. citizen to be canonized as a Saint by the Roman Catholic Church, on July 7, 1946.
Cabrini was beatified on November 13, 1938, by Pope Pius XI, and canonized on July 7, 1946, by Pope Pius XII. Her beatification miracle involved restoring the sight of a one-day-old baby who had been blinded by a 50% silver nitrate solution instead of the normal 1% solution in the child's eyes. The child, named Peter Smith (1921–2002), would later be present at her beatification and become a priest. Her canonization miracle involved the healing of a terminally ill member of her congregation. When she was canonized, an estimated 120,000 people filled Chicago's Soldier Field for a Mass of thanksgiving.
In the Roman Martyrology, her feast day is December 22, the anniversary of her death, the day ordinarily chosen as a saint's feast day. Following the reforms in Pope John XXIII's Code of Rubrics, the United States since 1961 has celebrated Cabrini's feast on November 13, the day of her beatification, to avoid conflicting with the greater ferias of Advent.
