Mastodonde type steam locomotive (filming 240), with an American-type tender, something rare, which had a larger wheel diameter than the Spanish ones.
It was part of a batch of 4 locomotives commissioned by the Aragón Central Railway company in 1927 from the Société Anonyme la Métallurgique Ateliers de Tubize of Belgium to improve the circulation of passengers on the Valencia-Calatayud line due to the steep slope of the line.
From the 60s it was transferred to Valencia, Alameda and Teruel to carry out secondary passenger journeys.
Ceded to the National Railway Museum in 1981.
Currently the locomotive is part of the funds of the Spanish Railways Foundation and its use and deposit is transferred to the Ourense City Council for public display in the city.
