Not long ago, this was a silver hydrant with an orange cap. In 2019, Create Ardmore and the Ardmore Fire Department worked together on a beautification effort in which fire hydrants in the downtown Cultural Arts District -- a comparatively small number compared to the over 1600 hydrants that the Ardmore FD has to maintain throughout the area! -- would be given the glamour treatment. As the Ardmore FD requires that the hydrants have a specific color cap -- red, orange, green or blue -- to indicate how much water pressure each tank has behind it, they did the priming work, leaving local volunteers to use their imaginations and minimal guidelines in the effort.

Of course, the orange bonnet works just fine as Ron's orange hair, with some white for his face, dotted by orange and yellow freckles under his blue-green eyes. The hydrant is primarily black like his robe, with gold buttons up the front and the Gryffindor crest on Ron's proper left side. His red and yellow striped scarf is wrapped around his neck, tailing down the back and his proper right side, all the way down to the lower standpipe. The breaker ring is a red belt with gold buckle, and the artists are cryptically identified on the back as "AJW" and "MJW", "LF LTD '20".
