A metal bench in honour of the fallen of WWI, can be found in Kirk Maughold Churchyard. The bench is located close to the Maughold Parish War Memorial and looks over the churchyard and the Church from a slightly elevated position.
The bench is made of steel which is painted black. The backrest features a group of soldiers wearing uniforms from The Great War in silhouette and also a small spray of remembrance poppies.
The poppies on this bench are remembrance poppies to commemorate the military personnel of Maughold who died in WWI and other military conflicts that have followed. (
