The Jonathan Wheelock House (#2), built in 1735, is the oldest house in the district. The house retains its central chimney and original doorway, although the clapboards have been covered with asbestos shingles. The west second-floor rooms were removed after a serious fire in the 1940's, leaving the building with an unbalanced appearance.
