The letters are at a location known as the Keeling Landmark Observatory and this clip on YouTube shows the letters and view from them.
Although I was working there in 2008 the cable ship I was working on, "Lodbrog", is shown in this 2019 clip. It is the one with the blue hull on the far side of the harbour. The green building, behind the ship, is the hotel where I was based and is where photos of the letters were taken!
