FR Le Toucan
Toucan est le nom normalisé de certains oiseaux de la famille des Ramphastidés, dans l'ordre des Piciformes, qui, avec les araçaris et des toucanets, sont aussi appelés « toucans » dans le langage courant. Ce sont des oiseaux grimpeurs de taille moyenne, caractérisés par un bec surdimensionné et vivement coloré. Cet appendice à la fois long et haut, très léger et vascularisé, leur permet de réguler leur température. Leur longue langue est adaptée à la consommation des insectes, des fruits et des graines. Ces oiseaux sont présents dans toute l'Amérique tropicale, notamment dans la forêt amazonienne.

Le Toucan à carène
Le Toucan à carène (Ramphastos sulfuratus) est une espèce d'oiseaux appartenant à la famille des Ramphastidae.
Il est présent sur un vaste territoire qui s'étend de l'est du Mexique au nord-ouest du Venezuela.
On le reconnaît à son bec dont l'extrémité est rouge

Toucan is the standardized name for certain birds of the Ramphastidae family, in the order Piciformes, which, along with araçaris and toucanets, are also commonly called "toucans". They are medium-sized climbing birds, characterized by an oversized, vividly colored bill.
