From 1872 to 2001 the Community of Christ was known as the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is the second-largest denomination in the Latter Day Saint movement. The Peace Chapel in George Town is under the auspices if the Caribbean Mission Centre. Even though the Church of Christ is derived from the Mormon church they are a Restorationist church is more in tune with mainline Protestant Christianity and reject the term Mormon to describe its members.
The Peace Chapel is a small gabled roof building that serves a relatively small congregation. The front has three bays with a center portico with a smaller gabled roof supported by two columns. The double-door entrance flanked by a pair of windows. The main church building is three bays wide with rectangular windows in each bay. An two bay wide extension extends from the south side. It has a single door on the front. A tower rises from the center of the roof which is topped by a pyramidal steeple.
