The Federation Free Style building was erected in 1911 for Fearnley and Company Ltd.The Wharf Street facade is symmetrical about a ground floor entry door and first floor french doors that open onto a segmental balcony which has a simple slotted balustrade. Each side of the facade are pairs of timber double hung windows at ground and first floor level between capped pilasters. The firm of Jack and Newell took over the building in 1939, the date indicating when the firm was established in Hereberton .
