Long Description:
[DE]

[EN]
The Göttingen Planet Path is a model of our solar system on a scale of 1: 2,000,000,000 (one meter in the model corresponds to 1,000,000 kilometers).
Along the path, which begins near the train station and runs through the whole city center up to the Bismarck Tower, a bronze stele with information on the respective object is set up for each planet at a true-to-scale distance. The planet itself is also shown to scale - so that some planets can only be seen as tiny spheres.

The sun can be seen here. It is the largest object in the solar system and is located in its center.
