The Walter Hadley home is a two-story frame house in the Craftsman style. Built in 1910, it is the oldest home of this style in Stroud. The siding is clapboard, as well as the porch railing and support columns. The house has a hipped roof with a centrally located dormer on each side. The eaves are overhanging, with exposed rafters.
The house faces north and has a covered porch across the entire facade. The front wall has two 20/1 double hung windows east of the front door, and a 20/fixed pane on the west. Each of the second-story dormers has a large double hung 1/1 window flanked by narrow 1/1 double hung windows. There are three concrete steps leading to the front porch, and a stone and block exposed stem wall. The home is currently occupied.
