This lawn bowling lane is placed near a park at the bank of the river Rhine in the district Niederdollendorf of Königswinter. The lanes are dimensioned for the Italian variant boccia, a kind of lawn boule which was popular in the mid of the 20th century. One of the most popular players of this game was the first chancellor of the Federal Republique of Germany, Konrad Adenauer who lived in the town next to Königswinter
