As Burgas Thermal Pool
"This thermal facility in the heart of Ourense’s historic centre is unique in Spain: a layer of almost 200 m2 of outdoors thermal water that allows us to enjoy an incomparable bath contemplating the art, history and monuments around us.
The thermal pool is the best way to discover the springs of As Burgas, a landmark of Ourense, whose water at more than 60° C has been used for centuries for therapeutic, religious and recreational purposes. You can experience in person the same feelings that enjoyed the first Roman settlers of Ourense, who built right next to the pool their own balnea or bathhouse, whose remains can be visited later.
In this facility the water is cooled to 38-40º C, allowing the perfect bath at any time of year, in a space for relaxation and wellness. The waters have medium mineralization, with lithium and alkaline, properties for skin care and loosening the muscles.
As Burgas thermal pool is free and offers changing rooms and lockers to store belongings. It is not possible to rent swimming clothes, neither flip-flops or towels.Visits are not allowed half an hour before the closing of the facilities.
In addition to a bath, at As Burgas you can enjoy the wet sauna or relax in the sun on the terrace, completing an engaging experience: Whoever comes, always repeats."
