The congregation of the The Church of Christ, Congregational in Granby, MA was established in 1762. The current church building was constructed in 1821 with elements of Federal and Greek Revival styles designed by Luther and Elias Carter of Mendon, MA who were noted for designing many other churches in New England in the early 19th century.

The white clapboard, two story high structure has a portico entrance above a set of granite steps. The front is five bays wide with a central green door is topped by a fan window. It is flanked by two smaller doors of the same design. Rectangular windows occupy on the first and fifth bays. Each bay on second level has a rectangular window topped with a fan window. The pediment above the entrance is supported by four fluted Ionic columns. The pediment contains a fan window. The sides of the church have five bays. Each bay on both the first and second level contain identical identical windows with green shutters.

Above the gabled roof is a tower with a single window on the front. Above the tower is a belfry with louvered windows and a similar but small belfry at the next level. The two tiered octagonal steeple is topped with a finial and a weathervane.
