This Static Artillery Display is located in Marne, Michigan at Veterans Memorial Park on 16th Avenue. The display consists of a M114-155mm Howitzer roped off in the grass. There is a plaque that reads:"M114-155mm Howitzer Our M114-155mm Howitzer was manufactured in 1943 at a cost of $26,946.00. This weapon used standard NATO 155mm ammunition with a range of about 8 miles. With a crew of 11 people it could fire 40 rounds per hour.
This M114 was transported on August 21, 2002 from Rock Island, Illinois Arsenal by the Sons of the Marne American Legion, Post 376, in honor and memory of their fathers."
