Mit dem EU-Austritt des Vereinigten Königreiches am 31. Januar 2020 wanderte der geographische Mittelpunkt der EU 60 Kilometer nach Osten. Er liegt nun auf einem Acker bei Gadheim, einem Ortsteil der Gemeinde Veitshöchheim bei Würzburg bei 9° 54' 7" Ost und 49° 50' 35" Nord. Ermittelt wurde dieser durch das französische Institut national de l’information géographique et forestière (IGN).

When the United Kingdom left the EU on 31 January 2020, the geographical centre of the EU moved 60 kilometres to the east. It is now located on a field near Gadheim, a district of the municipality of Veitshöchheim near Würzburg at 9° 54‘ 7’ east and 49° 50‘ 35’ north. This was determined by the French Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière (IGN).
