"On the plaque in the nave of the church, (entering from the left) the age and place of death of each of these soldiers is listed.

But those responsible at the time only considered the "Battlefield Dead." Also, the City Council repaired this oversight in 1930 ... and on the monument, the names of the men who died as a result of their injuries were added.

After some research in the municipal registry office, we can add some information. Unfortunately, since some people were neither born nor died in Bouvelinghem, there is no trace of them in the civil register.

" Sur la plaque qui se trouve dans la nef de l’église, (en entrant à gauche) l’âge ainsi que le lieu de décès de chacun de ces soldats est repris.

Mais les responsables de l’époque n’ont tenu compte que des “Morts sur le champ de bataille“. Aussi, le Conseil municipal a réparé cet oubli en 1930... et sur le monument, ont été ajoutés les noms des hommes décédés des suites de leurs blessures.

Après quelques recherches dans l’état civil communal, on pourra y ajouter quelques informations. Malheureusement Certaines personnes n’étant ni nées ni décédées à Bouvelinghem, on n’en retrouve nulle trace dans l’état civil.
