The small town of Alyth lies amidst a rural setting in eastern Perthshire, Scotland. On the southern edge of the town on a corner site at Alyth Muir is situated the town's war memorials. The prominent First World War memorial dominates a paved garden area, with the Second World War memorial adjacent to the rear. This takes the form of a stone tablet set within a wall. The inscription reads as follows:

'TO THE GLORY OF GOD IN MEMORY OF THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR 1939-1945'

There are the names and rank of thirty men and one woman inscribed.
