This fantastic free community book exchange is located in Haysville, across the street (to the east) from the HAC (Haysville Activity Center/Aquatic Center). The HAC has a large playground, volleyball courts, and of course the swimming pool so this location gets a lot of foot traffic in the summer, a great place for this free library.

The library itself is incredibly creative and well-designed. The structure is a chicken coop, and it looks just like a real chicken coop, including the bird walkway up to the housing unit. A side compartment has free fresh eggs from the farm, nestled in a bedding of straw. There are two very large compartments for books, each with two shelves, and each is full of reading material. Two benches are next to the library, and in the shade for part of the day. The coop is painted red and white, and a rooster sits atop to guard to the books, I mean chickens and eggs.
