Since 1969, the Glen Cairn Co-operative Preschool has been located at 186 Morrena Road, beside the Glen Cairn Community Centre. In 2000, as part of their Millennium project, four tiles of children's handprints were permanently placed in the lawn of Morrena Park, between two benches.
Paint once identified the handprints. Today only Kanata and 2000 can be read on the tiles. The grass is trying its best to grow over the tiles.
It's amazing to think that those small children are probably now parents.
