"Hotel built by Jean-Jacques II Renouard de Villayer, adviser to the Parliament of Brittany between 1659 and 1692, who acquired the land in 1671.
It became the property of the Farcy de Cuillé around 1740. In 1760 a stable was built on land west of the hotel. Annexation of a plot to the west, in 1765, and enlargement of the property.
A plan from 1776 makes it possible to locate the vegetable garden arranged in the ditches of the rampart. The hotel, enlarged around 1780, was partially destroyed after the outline of the Motte was widened.
It was in the lounges of the hotel that the Parliament held its last sessions in 1788. The property, which was divided after 1796, was enlarged by a body of building built in 1827, on the edge of the newly opened rue Victor Hugo.
This eastern part is the property of Mme de Cheffontaines. Restoration in 1885 by M. de Coniac: extension carried out in the western part, according to Jobbé-Duval's plans. "

Il devient la propriété des Farcy de Cuillé vers 1740. En 1760 est construite une écurie, sur des terrains à l'ouest de l'hôtel. Annexion d'une parcelle à l'ouest, en 1765, et agrandissement de la propriété.
Un plan de 1776 permet de situer le jardin potager aménagé dans les fossés du rempart. L'hôtel, agrandi vers 1780, est en partie détruit après l'élargissement du contour de la Motte.
C'est dans les salons de l'hôtel que le Parlement a tenu ses dernières séances en 1788. La propriété divisée après 1796 est agrandie d'un corps de bâtiment construit en 1827, en bordure de la rue Victor Hugo nouvellement percée.
Cette partie orientale est la propriété de Mme de Cheffontaines. Restauration en 1885 par M. de Coniac : extension réalisée dans la partie ouest, sur les plans de Jobbé-Duval."
