Sucre is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and indeed a beautiful town. From La Recoleta one will have a general perspective of the urban area and the natural landscape surrounding the town.
There is a convent in the area, named La Recoleta. Nowadays the whole area is a popular hangout for locals and visitors alike, specially alive by the end of the afternoon. It's a perfect spot to enjoy the sunset and see the school kids playing around.
It's an easy walk from the city center although a bit steep. Under the viewpoint terrace there is a slightly overpriced cafe with great views.
