The planters themselves are about ten feet long, and while they could use some weeding, they are still being used, very rare for these types of zinc monuments. "Mother" and "Father" are at the foot on their respective sides.

Mr. Butlan's headstone has a harp under funeral draping, and the inscription reads:

Edward C. Butlan,
Died
Nov. 24, 1910.
Age 70 Years, 2 Mos.

-----

An epitaph is under funeral draping on the reverse:

To live in
hearts we leave
behind is not to die.
We still remember
Father.

----------

Mrs. Butlan's headstone has a sheaf of wheat under funeral draping, and the inscription reads:

Catherine
Butlan,
Died Dec. 22, 1908,
Aged 72 Years.

-----

An epitaph is under funeral draping on the reverse:

No pain, no grief, no
anxious fear,
Can reach our mother
sleeping here.
