Launching from the Kennisis Dam Access Point, you have the choice of a short 3km (40 minute) paddle on Red Pine Lake to the first group of campsites (34 and 34A), or a bit further to reach one of the six official campsites on that lake.
Or you head into one of the adjoining lakes:
- 3 km paddle and 650m portage brings you into Buckskin Lake, with 2 campsites.
- 4.5 km paddle (~1hour) and a short 210 m portage brings you into Clear Lake. Camp on Clear Lake or continue on to one several adjoining lakes.
To see the lakes and campsites go to hhwt.goingtocamp.com/FrostCentreArea?Map and select "Kennisis Dam" as the access point. (
