This bench in honour of Maureen 'Mo'Hardinge can be found in front of the Shore Hotel on Old Laxey Hill. The bench is to the left of the front door into the Pub which is located in the heart of Old Laxey near the Old Laxey New Bridge which spans the Laxey River on its journey down to the harbour and the Irish Sea which is not far awwy.

This dark-coloured wooden bench has a horizontally slatted seat and a vertically slatted backrest. It also has two armrests. The bench is a little unloved and is in a rather poor condition with one of the seat slates broken and the others very weathered and rough.

The rectangular plaque on the backrest of this bench is inscribed as follows:
"IN LOVING MEMORY OF
MAUREEN 'MO' HARDINGE"

Where the bench is positioned it affords views down Tent Road towards the Harbour,the cluster of houses around the T-junction in front of the pub and to the left the New Old Laxey Bridge which replaced the former bridge which had medieval origins.
