NRHP Nomination Form

"117 East Main Street (c.l911; partially rebuilt after 1917 fire) Farmers State Bank of Pflugerville

This brown brick two-story building anchors the block, and is distinguished by its arched stone entrances and windows on the ground floor, a distinctive comer entrance pavilion with a square column, cast stone sills and lintels, and corbelled brick string courses. The building displays the influence of the Italian Renaissance style. The grand entrance originally led into the bank lobby. Each limestone entrance arch - along with the north side window arches - features a prominent keystone. The base of the pavilion arches are composed of hand-dressed limestone blocks and are approximately three feet high, while the shafts are masonry. A projecting illuminated box sign for Prague Market hangs at the comer, about 10 feet above ground level."
