A wooden font cover on the baptism font in St George's church, Belfast.
The font was 'Presented to S. George's Church by the young of the flock, Jan 1868' and the cover presumably dates to that same time. It is decorated with painted carvings on each face, a dove of peace, daffodils, a six pointed star. The finial is carved into what looks like an artichoke.
