Try the Sundial
Human beings have always been enchanted by the sun and its daily journey across the sky. Only in the 17th Century did astronomers learn to trace the earth's path in relationship to the sun and use sundials to more accurately measure time.
Today, you can use this 'Analemmatic Sundial' to tell true solar time. Stand on or near the current month and face the direction of your shadow. The humber on which your shadow falls represents true solar time. Depending on the season, true solar time may differ from the reading on your watch".
