Lachute United Church trouve ses origines dans l'arrivée dans la région des méthodistes vers 1800 et des presbytériens vers 1819. Les presbytériens organisent une communauté en 1832. Les méthodistes obtiennent leur charge pastorale en 1865. En 1925, lors de la formation de l'Église unie du Canada, les deux communautés s'unissent pour former Lachute United Church.

Lachute United Church has its origins in the arrival in the region of the Methodists around 1800 and of the Presbyterians around 1819. The Presbyterians organized a community in 1832. The Methodists obtained their pastoral charge in 1865. In 1925, during the formation of the United Church of Canada, the two communities come together to form Lachute United Church.
