A wooden font cover in St John the Baptist's church, Doddington. Although the full dedication of the church is the unusual 'The Beheading of St John the Baptist'.
The font dates from the 15th century, but has been recut sometime in the 19th century (possibly the 1855 restoration). The wooden cone cover is 17th century, and is topped by a gilded wooden orb.
