The current Congregational church on this site was built in 1824 in the Federal/Greek Revival style designed by architect Isaac Damon of Northampton, MA. It replaced the original meeting house in Southwick that was built in 1773.
The exterior of the church has four Roman Doric (Tuscan) columns, supporting a pediment above the entrance. Above is a three tiered square and octagonal steeple topped with a gold dome and a weathervane. The front is five bays wide with a central entrance on the first level. Five sets of windows are on the second level. The sides of the original structure is two story high and has four sets of windows with green shutters.
