Érige en 1947 à la mémoire des citoyens de la ville et du comté de Joliette qui sont tombés au cours de la Première et de la Seconde Guerres mondiales. On a rajouté plus tard le nom de deux autres personnes tuées pendant la guerre de Corée.

The memorial was created by M. Emile Brunet in 1947 in honour of the City and county of Joliette soldiers who lost their lives during the First and Second World Wars. The names of two additional fatalities from the Korean War were added later.

Date of dedication: 1947 Who Put it Here?: La ville de Joliette - The City of Joliette Description of Memorial: This memorial is composed of two cement stelia and a cement base. The names of the Joliette resident who gave their lives during the wars are inscribed on each of the stelia. A bronze relief sculpture of a woman placing a wreath of maple leaves on the memorial is present in the middle of the memorial.
