The 'Isenheim Altarpiece' is an altarpiece which is on a permanent Display inside the Museum Unterlinden in Colmar, France, Alsace. You have to enter the Museum to get Access!
It painted by the Germans Nikolaus of Haguenau and Matthias Grünewald in 1512–1516. It had been created for the Monastery of St. Anthony in Isenheim near Colmar.
The Isemheim Altarpiece is here on Display since 2015. Before it was on Display at the local Dominican Church nearby.
The altarpiece is shown inside a part of the Museum Unterlinden ( (
visit link) ) which was used to be a church in former times.
