Owners response to no more movies and conversion to live stage theater: "I also miss this but due to many changes it would have cost me $70,000 to get in new equipment , then the smaller theaters were not considered first run, so I could not get the movies in a timely manner. I also wish it could have been different, I think it is dated 1924 as a theater. It has been wonderful having the privilege to own it."

Recent post by former owner: "Hello all you lovely people, hope you are taking care, with everything going on will have to inform you this way. I sold The Belle Starr Theatre (very unexpectedly). I have owned it a little over 20 years. I am very thankful for all this time & the much support of many of you, that I consider dear friends..The new owner will continue to operate(when timely) Sending Blessings & love to all."

"Opened as the Vita Theatre in the mid-1920’s. This small town theatre located in the town centre. It now serves the populus and the college crowd with live performances." ~ Cinema Treasures
